Synopsis:

The Federal Executive Institute hosts a thrice annual event which features the Surrender at Appomattox. This particular event was held in Appomattox, Virginia at the Babcock House, about four miles southwest of the rebuilt McLean Surrender House, on the National Park Service property. Prior to this evening's performance, Freedom Films (a subsidiary of Confederate Pictures) was invited to make a film of the dress rehearsal, before the room filled with spectators from the FEI. This film has been embellished with scenes from the actual rebuilt McLean house, the surrender parlor, and other footage of Dave Palmer and Tony Daniels from other events which Confederate Pictures has filmed in the past. The script is as close to the actual known surrender 'minutes' as is obtainable. Dave is the sanction Robert E. Lee at the MOC in Richmond, has worked with the BBC as General Lee in the past, and has appeared as Lee in two Confederate Pictures full length films, AVENEL THE MOTION PICTURE - 2ND EDITION (2009), and THE GREAT SACRIFICE OF PRESIDENT JEFFERSON DAVIS (2007). Tony Daniels is General Grant in both of the aforementioned films, as well as BLUE VS GRAY, the History Channel's APRIL 1865 - THE MONTH THAT SAVED AMERICA, and other important Civil War films. This film also contains a bonus! From a rare first showing at the Bedford, Virginia City County Museum, the actual and original copy of Lieutenant General Jubal Anderson Early's copy of General Order #9, the Surrender Order that he carried with him on his person until the day he died... is in this video, as a background while our General Lee reads from it, aloud.
